By architectural standards we are considered a “niche” firm. We are a group of professionals, working in one central office, where project overview and coordination of all aspects of a project are accurately administered. We are also well known for our contributions to the planning phase of the process. After all, health care facilities are economic problems first and foremost. You need a plan before you need an architect.

With us you seamlessly get both.

The average professional experience in our office is twenty-four years. Our experience is primarily outpatient healthcare experience. We have a highly specialized knowledge of ambulatory surgery center design and development that transcends most American firms. Three of the licensed architects have significant practice in medical office space planning and design.

We are the only firm in the United States with a patent pending circulation matrix for surgery center design. This is a direct result of years of primary research and experience in ambulatory surgery centers and outpatient facilities. This research included studies of how patients are cared for, how and when staff and nurses perform their functions, what classifies as a disinfected component versus a sterilized component and many other commonly overlooked criteria that an architectural environment must respond to.

Because of our specialized knowledge and experience, we will have no learning curve on your project and won’t ask you to pay our tuition. Instead of our time being spent learning the project type, we can focus on what’s unique about your specific needs.

Each design focuses on patient dignity but by no means ignores the clinical functions of staff and physicians. After years of experimentation, we have discovered a unique approach to designing our facilities. We combine your specific needs with an unconventional design matrix. The results have been spectacular and well published.

Our niche is our strength, undeniably, but definitely not our limitation. The outstanding service we are known for in our healthcare projects has and will continue our success in non-healthcare related projects.

Over the years we’ve devoted our services to other various types of projects, such as: single family home renovations, multi-family & multi-use housing projects, tech-based office space, high-security storage facilities, government office suites, and even a DNR sanctioned shooting range. These projects represent a small percentage of the volume of work we do. They are a select few.

Your project may not be based in the healthcare industry, but our exemplary service is available for various other building types. As a firm we are constantly looking for good clients. One project with a good client can be worth ten projects with a bad client. We are competitive but we are not likely to be involved in a bidding situation where our services are considered a commodity. There are many average architectural firms that are willing to bid for projects. Our vision and mission naturally directs us away from this type of business.
